How do you calculate your MHR?
220- your age
How do you improve your aerobic fitness?
Working in you aerobic fitness zone. This is found between 60-80% of your MHR because you cross your aerobic threshold which is at 60% of your MHR
How do you improve your anaerobic fitness?
By working in your anaerobic fitness zone. This is found between 80-100% of your MHR. This is because your cross your anaerobic threshold which is at 80%
What threshold percentage would you be at if you don’t improve aerobic or anaerobic fitness?
Under 60%
What do you create when working anaerobically?
An oxygen debt so you can’t carry on for a long time.
What is oxygen debt?
The amount of oxygen you consume during recovery which would normally be consumed during rest.
This results from a short fall of available oxygen during exercise
How can you calculate your fitness levels?
Record time taken for recovery rate after exercise.
What is the recovery rate?
Time taken for pulse to return back to normal after exercise

Amount of aerobic training you need for your sport
