What is the AMMS and what components does it have?
Aircraft Mission Management System
A set of avionics components that help contribute to the operation of the aircraft
- 2xAMMC (might only need this)

What is the CDS and what does it do?
Cockpit Display System
The 3 Display Units and controls that provide information to the pilots
- 3 x DU (Display Units)
- 2 x DCP (display control panel)
- 1 x DDCP (display dimming control panel)
- 1x RCP (Reversion Control Panel
- 2x CCD (Cursor Control Device)
- 2 x CCJ (cyclic Cursor Control Joystick)
What does CAS stand for?
Crew Alerting System
What are the CAS Priority levels?
- WARNING - Red
- CAUTION - Amber
- ADVISORY - Green
- STATUS - Black
Where is the CAS RST (reset) button and what does it do?
Located on the Collective
Provides alternative method of acknowledging Warnings & Cautions
How do you scroll the CAS list?
By using the CCD Wheel or
Selecting C/A on the DCP and turning the knob
What is written on the CAS to show that there are no further items on the CAS?

How long does a WARNING or CAUTION stay in reverse colours?
Until the CAS RST is pressed on either the CWP or Collective
How long does an ADVISORY message remain in reverse colours for?
For 5 seconds
What does AFDX Stand for and what does it do?
Avionics Full DupeX
It’s the primary bidirectional communications data-bus between AMMS components
What does EDCU stand for and what does it do?
Enhanced Display Control Unit
The pilot touch-screen interface.
What does DTD stand for and what does it do?
Data Transfer Device
Provides capability to read/write into or off the aircraft
It has various ports (USB, SD and CF)
