Sy202 Flight Systems 2 Flashcards
What feeds the AOA computer?
AOA vane, flap position, microswitch, and leading gear.
When does the stick shakey snake shake?
15-16 units on the AOA (5-10 knots above the stall speed)
What is the no-wind max range on the AOA gauge?
4.9 units
What is the no-wind max endurance on the AOA gauge?
8.8 units
What is a potentiometer
Converts mechanical motion into an electric signal
Normal range of AOA
10 to 11 units
What is the amber donut light on the AOA?
Optimum attack range for landing
For normal approach, what is the optimum approach speed and weight?
100 KIAS at max landing weight. (Decreases 1 knot for every 100 pounds lost)
What is the IDARS and what does it include?
Integrated Data Acquisition Recording System Multi function processing system which includes a crash survivable integrated recorder, a data transfer module receptacle, a recorder/maintenance annunciations, and a maintenance connector
What does the flight data recorder do?
Provides monitoring and acquisition of data signals, and stores airframe, engine, and built in test data.
What is the data transfer module?
Portable memory cartridge used for digital information storage, loading, and retrieval.
What does the DTM store?
Storing IAT, structures, engine, documentary, and BIT data in non-volatile memory
What is the data transfer module receptacle?
Permanently mounted receptacle for the DTM and provides the interface between DTM and IDARS
