The Gov. released a 10 point plan in 2020 encoorporating:
- increase in off shore wind
- greener builts
- driving low carbon hydrogen
- drive to electric vehicles
- protecting the environment
- jet zero & green shipping
- green financing
- Green publci transport and infrastructure.
- Deliver new nuclear power

A

Domestic is currently MEES is currently a E and further improvements to a C rating appear to be on hold.

Non-domestic - MEES is E. Oct 2019 Gov consultanceion proposed to tighten the non-domestic mees to 2027 C and 2030 B.

What is circular economy?

A

Circular Economy ideologies is a system whcih contradicts current linear consumerisitc model of designwhcih is to produce, use and dispose of. Circular economy aims to the of use design options, where it is to reuse, recycled, composted or turnin to energy.

The recent RICS professional standard of WLCA second addition aims to improve this, but is only effective in July 2024.

A

New Construction, Refurbishment and fit out, In-Use

It is a voluntary environmental assessment tool to rate proejcts and buildings.

It has nine enviornmental wieghtings including;
energy consumpiton,
water usage
trnaspportation links,
waste management
and health & well-being.

PASS | GOOD | VERY GOOD | EXCELLENT OUTSTANDING

BREEAM is used to specify and measure the sustainability performance of buildings, ensuring that projects meet sustainability goals and continue to perform optimally over time.
