EMG is a tool used to evaluate and record electrical activity produced by muscles—advantages of EMG include that it is dynamic there is no radiation exposure patients can swallow real food and the images are in real time it is it not expensive and generally available— it evaluates muscle function— can be use d long-term during treatment with little to no discomfort. Bad—-evaluates muscle groups- does not show kinematics
