What are the longitudinal pharyngeal muscles?

A

these muscles course along the length of the pharynx and contribute to Pharyngeal and laryngeal elevation- the salpingopharyngeus and palatipharyngeus are innervated by the Vegas nerve. The stylopharyngeus is innervated by the glossopharyngeal nerve.
