What is a Hegemon?
Hegemon = a supreme power or a country that is dominant over others. Their power extends to several different countries
Where can we see examples of both hard and soft power?
Hard power can be seen in the British empire and colonialism specifically in India where in 1919 380 Indian protesters were killed by British forces
Soft power can be seen in the cold war and in modern day society where influencing people and not doing anything extreme is seen as the way to go

What does the term acculturation mean?
A process of cultural change that takes place when two different cultures meet and interact; it includes the transfer of a dominant culture’s ideas on to a subordinate culture
