Created to promote the 2020 Paralympic Games, the producers are aware of compassion fatigue and will aim to offer a different perspective on the issue by showing that disabled people have the same if not harder daily routines as us. Their perspective is more positive and upbeat evident by the soundtrack and use of audio codes so you want to be a boxer is patronising but effectively communicates the struggles of the disabled athletes. The typical conventions such as the dramatic music appear at the beginning but rapidly changes to the sound of the alarm and realities of daily life

Rely on codes and editing to relay their message using close up shots to engage the audience and portray aspects of disabled people in a way that doesn’t make them seem like a victim emphasising that it is a part of their life’s for example establishing shots are used too show her close too the pool a close up to show her putting her goggles on and a low angle to show a close up of her eyes at while slow motion is used.

Visual codes also communicate meanings the iconography and setting are related to the athlete and sport however it is juxtaposed with domestic scenes of everyday life as a disabled person gestures communicating frustration
