Spectacular subcultures were studied and looked at in terms of their response to the presence of black people and their subculture in the U.K.
HEBDIGE ‘RASTAFARIANS’
Had strong religious beliefs and was a form of resistance to white culture and racism with roots to slavery and thus offered positive identities to the Jamaican/Caribbean culture.
