Hyperthyroidism
followed by euthyroid and hypothyroid

How does it appear on iodine uptake scan?
A
Reduced uptake of iodine

A goitre will appear with the initial hyperthyroidism. Will this be painful?
A
Yes - useful factor in differentiating

How is it managed?
A
Usually self-limiting with no treatment
If goitre painful - NSAIDs
