Breathing rate increases, skin temperature rises, blood pressure rises, pupils dilate, muscle tension.
Physical reaction to stress; Biological
Concentration decreases, creativity decreases, problem solving decreases, decision making decreases, planning ability decreases.
Cognitive reaction to stress; Psychological
Occurs when people experience an immediate threat to their well being. Regarded as a normal part of life.
Attended to but then is gone.
Ex: Traffic jam, losing keys

Stress is beneficial at a sweet spot when the amount of benefit and the amount of stress are both leveled. When there is more stress, the benefit decreases.
