STI - Memory Items Flashcards
Engine Fire
A/T ARM switch OFF
Thrust lever IDLE
Fuel Control Switch CUTOFF
Engine Fire Switch PULL
IF the FIRE ENG message stays shown:
Engine Fire Switch ROTATE to the stop and hold for 1 second
IF after 30 seconds the FIRE ENG message stays shown:
Engine Fire Switch ROTATE to the other stop and hold for 1 second
Engine Severe Damage/Separation
A/T arm switch OFF
Thrust lever IDLE
Fuel Control Switch CUTOFF
Engine Fire Switch PULL
Smoke, Fire or Fumes
Don oxygen mask if needed
Stabliser
STAB cutout switches (both) CUTOUT
Do not exceed current airspeed
Airspeed Unreliable
Autopilot disengage A/T Arm Switches Both OFF F/D Switches Both OFF Set up the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust: Flaps extended - 10 degrees and 85% N1 Flaps up - 4 degrees 70% N1
Cabin Altitude
Don the oxygen masks
Establish crew communications
Check the cabin altitude and rate
If the cabin altitude is uncontrollable:
PASS OXYGEN switch PUSH to ON and hold for 1 second
Without delay, descend to the lowest safe altitude or 10,000 feet, whichever is higher.
To descend:
Move the thrust levers to idle
Extend the speedbrakes
If structural integrity is in doubt:
Limit airspeed and avoid high maneuvering loads
Descend at VMO/MMO
At level off altitude
Flight crew must use oxygen when cabin altitdue is above 10,000 feet. If 100% or EMERGENCY is not needed, the regulator must be set to normal
ENG LIM/SURGE/STALL
A/T ARM switch OFF
Thrust lever RETARD until engine indications say within limits or the thrust lever is at idle
Dual Engine Failure
FUEL CONTROL switches (both) CUTOFF then RUN
RAM AIR TURBINE switch, Push and hold for 1 second
Engine Autostart/Aborted Engine Start
Fuel Control Switch - Cutoff
TCAS RA for a climb RA in landing configuration?
Disengage the autopilot and autothrottle
Advance thrust levers forward to ensure maximum thrust is attained and call for Flaps 20
Smoothly adjust pitch to satisfy the RA command
Follow the planned lateral flight path unless visual contact with the conflicting traffic requires other action
After a positive rate of climb is established, call for GEAR UP
ENG Autostart
FUEL CONTROL switch CUTOFF
Windshear Caution actions
“Monitor Radar Display”
Maneuver as required to avoid windshear
GPWS Caution
Correct the flight path or the airplane configuration
A good mode to use is ALT HOLD and then VS/FLCH
GPWS Warning
PULL UP PULL UP
Disengage the autopilot
Disconnect autothrottles
Aggressively apply maximum thrust
Simultaneously roll wings level and rotate to an initial pitch attitude of 20 degrees
Retract speedbrakes
IF terrain remains a threat:
Continue rotation up to the PLI or stick shaker or initial buffet
Do not change configuration until terrain separation is assured
Monitor radio altimeter for sustained or increasing terrain separation
When clear of terrain:
Slowly decrease pitch attitude and accelerate
In IMC continue to MSA and all warnings stop
In VMC continue until all warnings stop
Windshear prior to V1?
Reject take off
