step by step after treatment
1- put the instrument into the robust container ( remove the blade from scalpel handle)
2- throw the kimgard as it is infected as well
3- at this point remove the PPE
4- Clean the treatment room including the drill head
5- take the instrment into the sterilising room
6- make a full sink of water with two pump of clinicidet.
7- pop the gloves back on at this point
8- wash and scrub the instrument thoroughly with a brush to remove any debris and residue
9- pop the instrument into the filtrate on the Clean side of the sink and run the cold water to remove any last debris
10- dry them with none linting towel
11- at this point wrap the instrument by folding a kimgard and putting that into an autoclave pouch.
*Always sharp edge should be away from you whilst packing
12- Then log the instrument, it includes pop a date and
batch number on it
13- Label the instrument in the top right-hand corner of the autoclave.
* after the sterilisation the pink colour on both the sticker and autoclave will turn brown from pink
15- Then we log it into the book
16- This includes the item that we put into the steriliser
17- Then pop the unsterilised sticker on the allocated position, after sterilising put the sterilised sticker or batch number on the other allocated position
18- leave the steriliser machine door half an hour open to let the instrument to cool down
19- the steriliser machine temperature is 134.
