1+15 inst/NAV, LL, and F57XX/58XX
What do the standards say about student responsibilities?
Must do briefing prep, have checklist to EP of the day and be able to discuss in less than 1 minute, and for post F58XX the students will contact their instructor of record and direct support IP about non standard items.
What do the standards say about step time?
Be at the ops desk at takeoff minus 35 minutes. T51XX sorties be at the ops desk at takeoff minus 45 minutes.
What do the standards say about before doing pre flight walkaround?

What do the standards say about T51XX sorties?
All students will verbalize all Interior inspection items in the 71 OG/OGV checklist.
What do the standards say about confirming static inverter operation?
It will be done by selecting FUEL/OXYGEN GAUGE TEST prior to applying external power.
What do the standards say about spares?
Pass new tail numbers to RAMROD on UHF 15. If past check-in time pass new tail number to RAMROD when ready for engine start.
What do the standards say about radio setup?

What do the standards say about green and yellow speeds?
Green is the go/no go speed
Yellow is SETOS
What do the standards say about the altitude warning setting?

What do the standards say about the fuel warning?
Set to the briefed Joker except F58XX (Bingo)
What do the standards say about the Bullseye?
Set to EGI destination 403/as briefed
What do the standards say about TCAS?
Set to RA Active EXCEPT when in VFR pattern or radar pattern at KEND (within 15 DME)
What do the standards say about VTR/VDTC setup?
Select either FMFD, BMFD, or CMB
What do the standards say about MIC switch setting?
HOT on FCP AAP
What do the standards say about the ACP?
FCP PNS switch to PNS
What do the standards say about HUD brightness?
AUTO as default, Day or Night if desired
What do the standards say about Ground Track?
Double tapped (enabled)
What do the standards say about flight control check in the chocks?
Use crew chief to confirm surface movement. Slow smooth full scale deflection. Visually confirm flap/slab interconnect at 60% flaps with slab LE raising.
What do the standards say about chock removal?
Do so prior to calling Ground for taxi
What do the standards say about taxiing?
Taxi on centerline if single ship and know no T-38s behind within 300’; otherwise taxi offset downwind
What do the standards say about the two pins?
Remove and store them once on parallel
What do the standards say about radio channel change to tower?
Do it when lead starts 90 deg turn to EOR
What do the standards say about the flight control check in the EOR?
Dual crews should verbalize “free and correct”. Turn on landing/taxi light when ready to takeoff
What do the standards say about the instrument cockpit check?
Do one every sortie.
What do the standards say about takeoff calls?
Call ramrod and say number 1.
What do the standards say about closing the canopy on takeoff?
Check and State “closed, latched, lights out, good bump check”
What do the standards say about takeoff?
After being cleared takeoff or lineup arm seat and state “seat’s hot” and confirm ISS BOTH. Stay on Tower until safely airborne and doing departure.
What do the standards say about the barrier?
Say “BARRIER, BARRIER, BARRIER [runway]” on Tower or Guard if needed. Aborts above 100 KCAS should call for barrier and assume hot brakes if heavier than normal brake application
What do the standards say about the instrument trail departure?
Maintain 5 deg NH after clean up. Cancel AB at 250 KCAS, accelerate in MIL to 300 KCAS then proceed as AFMAN 11-251.
What do the standards say about landing?
Land near (main on centerline) center of runway as traffic requires and move away from center when below 50 knots.
What do the standards say about full stops?
If full stop on hot side don’t cross to cold until abeam turn off point and you’ve cleared the cold side.
What do the standards say about the FENCE check?
Fire control system: Master-ARM
Emitters-set squawk and A/A TACAN as required
Navaids-HSD with MOA zones, EGI to center area point, set local altimeter
Camera: confirm VTR set to FMFD or HUD as required
ECM-CMD-ON, g suit tests
What do the standards say about being assigned multiple MOAs?
Use the frequency for the lowest numerical area.
What do the standards say about the G-x?
Do 2x180 deg turns, call “READY” when 1.0+/-0.1 NM line abreast and 420 KCAS +/- 5. Maintain 420 KCAS plus or minus 20 KCAS. Wgmn should attempt stack level and maintain 6000’ spacing
What do the standards say about G-x priorities?
1) . Deconfliction
2) proper and effective AGSM
3) . Aircraft parameters
What do the standards say about the area?
Do ops checks between fence in and fence out with fuel and Gs and reset the G-meter following each ops check.
What do the standards say about what to do for formation rides once a flight is cleared the block or direct a MOA?
Select A/A TACAN. Also, passing 10,000’ MSL lead will perform an ops check
If doing a formation landing how does #2 signal cold side is clear?
Turning off landing light on roll out
What do the standards say about the Shoehorn Option?
Request with RSU or flight rejoin with Tower. Following touch and go leaf extends upwind 1 NM before turn Xwind and fly at 250 knots. Fly IFG ground track, wingman auto cleared to route in outside of turn
What do the standards say about airspace entry for low level ops?
1) . FENCE IN prior to Hack point, MASTER ARM-Safe, Master Mode set at IP discretion
2) . Select A/G Master Mode and Master Arm-ARM no later than initial point
3) . Once overfly target select Master Mode as desired and Master Arm-SAFE
4) . FENCE OUT when climbing out of low level route structure and Nav Master Mode
What do the standards say about turning rejoins?
300 KCAS, 30 deg bank
Tactical turning rejoins at 350 KCAS, 45 deg bank, all rejoins to fingertip unless otherwise briefed
What do the standards say about formation ops checks?
Will include fuel and Gs and reset G meter in between.
What do the standards say about a flight split and acknowledging controller instructions?
Wgmn will not acknowledge until #1 has confirmed good NAVAIDS via Alpha check and cleared Wgmn off
What do the standards say about after landing/taxi back?
Once safe taxi speed, pilot will confirm ISS Solo, “Seat’s safe” and “Pitot heat-off” and confirm “pins are in, loose items stowed” prior to opening canopies
What do the standards say about clearing the runway?
Auto push to UHF 3/5 as appropriate and maintain AUX intraflight until clear of center
What do the standards say about engine shutdown?
Shut down both engines simultaneously
What do the standards say about the AAP switches?
They will be turned off immediately prior to initial tire and wheel check to ensure sufficient time for the EGI to store memory
What do the standards say about signaling engine shutdown without ICS?
Move throttle of affected engine three times, on thirty time FCP will open throttle gate and shut down indicated while AC guards throttle of good engine
What do the standards say about electrical fire with ICS loss?
Gangload, ram dump, turn off battery and generators and shut off all electrical equipment. Once smoke gone RCP should give thumbs up and FCP turns battery on and turn intercom on first
What do the standards say about landing gear alternate extension without ICS?
The AC in RCP will signal to FCP by putting handle down, if don’t get correct indications FCP will do alt gear extension checklist
What do the standards say about bird strike?
Both pilots will ensure aircraft moving away from ground and if no ICS pass thumbs up if physically can fly and has satisfactory visual references or enter “OK” in UR-1
What do the standards say about controlled ejection without ICS?
Show Controlled Bailout pg of pink pages and command of execution is zoom and throttles to Idle. If not ready push throttles back up
If aircraft is NORDO when will lead be offered?
In MOA, on recovery with field in sight or on final with clearance to land
