Squeezing is used for what purposes?
Channeling elimination of h20 in well bore isolating gas from oil repair casing abandon perfs.
Does the cement go into formation?
the particles are too large to enter the permeability. they are separated from the water. The cement filtrate is pumped into formation and cement filter cake builds and gels until the pump in pressure increases
Where should the packer seat be located
as close to perfs as possible (above) - This allows the well fluid from the rathole to be forced into formation before the cement.
What might happen if gass is “bullheaded:
gas in the formation could percolate through the cement and leave the cement honeycombed. Which is an EPIC fail
What type of well fluid should be used
clean non wall building such as salt of KCL water
Backpressure on the annulus should equal
the difference in the hydrostatics so the cement will not string out.
