Diagnosis
Injury History: Details of what happened
Time
What part of body hit
Where is pain
Check local area for swelling/bruising/bleeding/pain on palpation
Differentiation
Fracture- Pain, tender, longitudinal swelling and bruising, complete loss of function, twisted deformity, shock
Dislocation- Injury history, Pain and swelling, loss of function, disformity, elastic fixation (goes back to position)
Stages
Early Stage: 1-3 Days Main pathology blood stasis Severe fixed pain Red/purple Swelling/bruising Limited movement Warm Pain could be causing insomnia Middle Stage: 3 days to 2 weeks Late Stage: 2 Weeks and on Can combine with W-C-D - Heavy Sensation Still some blood stasis Pain not as severe - mild/moderate Swelling/bruising Aggravated by cold Qi Def Signs Bruise colour through healing process Repetitive kidney Def
*Repetitive injury treat as you would in late stage
