What are the 5 different patterns?
Nerve Root Pattern: Characterized by stiffness and pain in the neck
that may extend to the forearm, the hand, and
fingers where the tips may feel numb. Movement
of shoulder may be limited. Worse At night
Spinal Cord Pattern: Discomfort in the neck which is unable to stretch
Heavy pain in neck and shoulders, numb limbs
Severe cases may be spasmodic paralysis or
urinary incontinence
Vertebral Artery Pattern: Dizziness, headache, tinnitus,numb extremities
Severe cases sudden collapse
Symptoms worse when turning head side to side
Sympathetic Nerve Pattern: Distending sensation in the eyes, impaired
vision, tinnitus or deafness, blockage of
throat, palpitations, insomnia, dream
disturbed sleep and numbness of hands
Mixed Pattern: Combination of two or more patterns above
