Piriformis Mm Syndrome: Compresses nerve, no pain along vertebrae
but around Piriformis

Lumbar Stenosis: Lumbar tube narrows pinching the nerve

A

Caused by many factors manifested as pain along the passage and distributive area of the sciatic nerve which is due to primary and secondary injuries of the sciatic nerve.

It falls under Bi Syndrome

A

Same as Lumbar pain

Palpate along: DU 3/4
                         UB 23/52/40/60
                         Kid 1/3
Du and UB Meridian
GB 29/30
UB 57/60
2 or 3 needles perpendicular into the piriformis muscle

Electro: L4-L5 Jiaji
UB 40/54
GB 30/34
Continued or mixed wave @ 50-100 Hz for 30 minutes

  • When needling try to send Qi down the leg
