What is Enthesitis?
Inflammation at the joint between the tendon and bone
What is Dactylitis?
Inflammation of the entire digit, sausage fingers
What is the diagnosis criteria for ankylosing spondylitis?
Limited lumbar motion
Lower back pain for more than 3 months
Reduced chest expansion
What are the clinical features of psoriatic arthritis?
Sacroiliitis, eye disease, nail involvement, dactylitis, enthesitis
What is oligoarthritis?
The most common type of juvenile idiopathic arthritis
What are the most common routes for infection which then causes reactive arthritis?
Urogenital, enterogenic
What is the triad for Reiter’s syndrome?
Urethritis, arthritis, conjunctivitis
Name the mucocutaneous lesions associated with reactive arthritis
Keratodema Blenorrhagica - affecting the soles and palms
Circinate balanitis - affecting the penis glans
Painless oral ulcers
Hyperkeratotic nails
What is the treatment of reactive arthritis?
NSAIDs Steroids DMARDs Antibiotics for the underlying infection Physio OT
What is the treatment for enteropathic arthritis?
Not NSAIDs - can worsen IBD Paracetamol, cocodamol Steroids DMDs Anti TNF
