Order of spine examination
A
Any pain today
Look- gait, any swelling, muscle bulk, abnormal contours, redness, scoliosis and lordosis kyphosis
Feel- spinous process, facet joints and paraspinal muscles
Move- on separate slide- neck then back
Special
- Schubers - posterior superior iliac crests 10 above 5 below touch toes and remeasure
-straight leg raises- flat on bed and straight leg then dorsiflex the foot

Movements for the spine examination
A
Neck, chin to chest, head back, ear to shoulder, look over shoulders
Lumbar- touch toes, back as far as possible (hold waist), slide hands Down leg, sit and rotate
