Order of examination hand examination
A
Look- across dorsal and palmar surfaces looking for, muscle wasting, bulking, deformities, erythema, nail pitting, splinter haemorrhages, general appearance
Feel- temperature in wrist, bimanually palpate wrist, and all joints of the hands
Move- spread fingers, make fist, palm down and palm back
Passive palm down and back
Special 1. tinels (tapping) and 2. phalens (reverse praying) for carpal tunnel syndrome 3. Power grip and pincer grip
