Spine and hip Dislocation Flashcards
spondylolisthesis
Not a ture dislocation, because it rarely occurs as a result of trauma or muscle imbalance, but is a foward displacement of one vertebral body over another: usually occurs as a result of a defect in the pars interarticularis.
spondylolysis
Acute ( Traumatic) dissocation of pars interarticularis or posterior elements ( lamina) w/ or w/out spondylolisthesis
UNILATERAL FACET SUBLUXATION
dislocation of one of the two facets at any level: most common in c-spin region
Anterior hip D.
involves the femoral head anteriorly
Central hip D.
one in which the femur jams into the acetabulum: also called bursting D.
Developmental dysplasia of Hip
DDH: formerly caleed Congenital dysplasia of him(CDH),
Luxatio perinealis
Dislocation of femoral head into perineum
Monteggia Hip D.
involvers femoral head to near the anterosuperior spine of the ilium: hip joint dislocation
Otto pelvis
gradual central displacement of the femur by unkown causes
Posterior hip D.
femoral head slips psoteriorly: more common than Anterior D.(Dashboard D.)
Posterior FxD
chip fx of the acetabulum w/ a psoterior d. of the femoral head.
