How do you perform the Barlow’s Sign?
A
- Hip is first flexed and abducted
- Gradually adduct
- Attempt to gently DISPLACE hip out of the socket over the posterior acetabular rim

How do you perform the Ortoloni’s sign?
A
- Hip is dislocated in position of flexion and adduction
- Gentle flexion, abduction, and slight traction reduce the hip
- Positive sign indicates a more unstable hip than the Barlow’s

How do you perform Galleazzi’s Sign?
A
- Knees are brought together without attempting to reset hip
- Shortening of thigh on side dislocation

A
- Side of decreased abduction is dislocated side
