Turning Frame Bed (Styker Wedge Frame)
Allows elevation of the head or foot ends of the frame or the entire bed. Allows the patient to be in a horizontal plane from a prone or supine.
Postrauma Mobility Bed
Designed to maintain a serious injury, pt. in a stable position and maintain proper postural alignment through the use of adjustable holsters.
Low Air Loss Therapy Beds
Has several segmented and separated air bladders. Obese patients.
Volume-cycled ventilators
For pt.’s who required long term support. Predetermined amount of air.
Pressure-cycled Ventilators
Delivers a predetermined max pressure of gas.
Catheter Precautions
Avoid tension, occlusion, disruption, disconnection. Bags positioned below the bladder level.
Stoma
Surgically produced opening in the abdomen. Allowing elimination of feces.
Enterostomy
Surgical procedure that produces artificial stoma into the small intestine through incision in stomach wall.
