Positive: The winds can aerate the vineyards reducing the risk of disease pressure such as mildew and rot.
Negative:The winds can be powerful and can cause extensive damage to the vineyards.

Why is Southern France being an Ideal area for growing grapes?
A
The Region has a consistent warm Mediterranean Climate with Summer temperatures often above 30 degrees, mild winters and low rainfall, especially during the growing season.
