Jeff Grier of Villiera entered into a ten-year partnership with champenois Jean-Louis Denois from Cumieres. (Villiera one of few South African wineries to plant Meunier BTW). Champagne GH Mumm collaborated with Nicky Krone of Twee Jonge Gezellen producer of Krone Borealis Then in 1997 Kaapse Vonkel became first to use all 3 classic champagne varietals
