Krug has a library of 150 wines. Generally accepted that the better the base wine the less reserve needed. Krug takes the opposite approach. more distinctive vintage character requires more reserve wine to overwhelm it.
205 litre barriques
all base wines fermented in old french oak Krug purchases new oak barrels but will not use for Krug branded wines until 3rd use
