4 switches
Battery 1 and 2
Emergency Lights
Hydraulic Electric Pump 3A
When is the FIRE EXTINGUISHER panel check required?
As part of the Safety and Power Up Checklist for every crews first flight of the day in a particular airplane
If the aircraft was powered down
or
If the aircraft is received powered up, verify the safety and power up checklist items are complete and COMPLETE a Fire Test!!
When turning the batteries 1 and 2 to ON / AUTO, what 3 things must be checked?
Ensure the aircraft is not moved while the IESS is initialized. Takes 90 seconds
Verify ONLY displays 2 and 3 are powered
Verify Battery Voltage is between 21.0 and 22.5
If the battery voltage is below 22.5 but not lower than 21.0, what must be accomplished?
Recharge the battery prior to takeoff through ANY AC source according to the table on SOP PREFLIGHT 4-2.7
What is required for the APU to start?
Battery 1 must be ON and Battery 2 must be in AUTO

The Flight Control PBIT takes how long?
1 minute
What is required for the flight control PBIT to activate?
All 3 hydraulic systems are pressurized
What is the temperature limit of the hydraulic reservoir temp for the hydraulic PBIT to automatically run?
Hydraulic Reservoir temperature must be 10 degrees C or warmer for test to run. UNLESS the the PBIT is expired.
What is the hydraulic reservoir temperature limit for engine start?
-18 degrees C
If the hydraulic reservoir temperature is colder than -18 degrees C, what must be accomplished prior to engine start.
The hydraulic systems warm up must be accomplished. Found in SOP PREFLIGHT 4-2.13
When is the ADSP Heater Switch to be turned ON
On the first flight of the day with temperatures below -18 deg C or when the smart probes are frozen.
If the ADSP is frozen over, what might happen?
There might be an undesired airspeed indication; followed by EICAS messages: AFCS FAULT AT FAIL AP FAIL FD FAIL YD FAIL APPR 2 NOT AVAIL
After power up, a RAM AIR FAULT EICAS message is displayed for more than one minute. What is wrong?
It is a spurious message.
Clear it by turning PACK 1 and PACK 2 off. Wait 5 seconds then turn back ON
