  • Keep emergency personnel a minimum of 100ft from the touchdown area.
  • Keep bystanders a minimum of 200ft from the touchdown area.
  • Do not approach ATU until signaled by the flight crew
  • Never approach the ATU from the rear
  • Secure all loose items
  • Transfer of patient to ATU stretcher should occur away from the helicopter
  • Use the fewest personnel practical to move the patient to the ATU.
