The opperating system and various programs that a computer uses. They perform tasks to result in outputs. You might need more specialised software for specialised jobs.
Discuss the difference between web-based applications and installed applications
Web based apps are accessed via a browser on the internet and needs constant connection and is always on its latest version but its performance depends on connection.
Installed apps are literally on your computer and is always accessible but takes up space and needs constant updates.
What are examples of online based softeare?
Google drive, one drive.
Microsoft Office 365 is a subscription over months/years for liscene to apps
What affects compatibility of software?
The operating system
The version of the application
The processor
The amount of memory
Amount of disk space
The requirements of the application
Application software
Reference software: provides you with quick easy access to various information and resources
Web browsers: allow connection to the world wide web through browsers
Disk managment: eg. disk clean up/disk defragmentation
Software that enhances accessibility and efficiency

How do you fix software related issues?
Freezing: ctrl + delete
Crashing: reboot/run problem alone
Read only files: enable editing/rename

Errors in coding of software.
