TCA Overdose
Prolonged downtime during cardiac arrest
Hyperkalemia
Phenobarbital Overdose
Alkalization for treatment of specific intoxications

Contraindications
A
Metabolic and respiratory alkalosis
Hypocalcemia and hypokalemia
Hypochloremia secondary to GI loss and vomiting

Adult Dose
A
1 mEq/kg IV/IO
Repeat with 0.5 mEq/kg every 10 minutes
