Alpha 1, Beta 1, and Beta 2 agonist effects
Indications
Cardiac Arrest
Severe bronchospasm, asthma, and bronchiolitis
Anaphylaxis and acute allergic reaction
Contraindications
Hypertension
Hypothermia
Pulmonary Edema
Coronary insufficiency
Hypovolemic Shock
Adult Respiratory Distress Dose
0.01 mg/kg 1:1000 SQ
Adult Anaphylaxis Dose
0.3 - 0.5 mg 1:1000 IM
3 - 5 ml 1:10,000 IV
Adult Cardiac Arrest Dose
1 mg every 3 - 5 minutes
Adult Endotracheal Cardiac Arrest Dose
2 mg 1:1000 in 10 ml of NS
every 3 - 5 minutes
Pediatric Respiratory Distress Dose
0.01 mg/kg 1:1000 SQ
Pediatric Anaphylaxis Dose
If < 8 years of age administer .15 mg up to max dose of 0.3 mg
If > 8 years of age administer 0.3 - 0.5 mg
