- Authoritive: Not overly strict, respect authority, develop appropriate values and boundaries, resilient
- Authoritarian: Have high expectations, strict rules, children rebellious, become more problematic
- Permissive: No demands on children, reluctant to have rules or values, lack self-control, later experience problems in managing relationships and adult responsibility
- Some parents lack emotional intelligence and skills required to raise children to be resilient and prepared for outside world.
