Separation of people due to social factors such as wealth, region, ethnicity and age
What is social exclusion?
When an individual or group is prevented from becoming fully involved in society die to their social or physical situation.
Why are there greater levels of cultural diversity in cities?

- First place where immigrants settle
- More employment opportunities’
- Existing communities of immigrants; more welcoming
Name some strategies used to tackle poverty
- Improve education levels
- Provide affordable housing

What is a government subsidy?
Sum of money paid to members of society who meet a certain criteria
