A
single cavity benign fluid filled cyst in a bone

what causes it?
A
defect in physis and therefore metaphyseal in long bones

where does it usually occur?
A
proximal humerus and femur, also talus or calcaneus

how do they clinically present?
A
asymptomatic, incidental finding
can weaken bone = pathological fracture

what investigations are used?
A
x-ray, MRI

how is it managed?
A
curettage and bone grafting +/- stabilisation may be required
