A
intramedullary, metaphyseal cartilaginous tumour

who is it most common in?
A
20-50 y/o

what is it caused by?
A
failure of normal enchondral ossification at growth plate

how does it clinically present?
A
incidental, asymptomatic
can weaken bone leading to pathological fracture

where can they occur?
A
femur, humerus, tibia and small bones of hand and feet

what investigations are used?
A
x-ray

what will the x-ray show?
A
lesion usually lucent but may undergo mineralisation to give sclerotic appearance

how is it managed?
A
once fracture healed or risk of impending fracture they may be scraped out and filled with bone graft to strengthen bone
