We are using the term ‘man’ to refer to the word ‘man’, rather than the idea of a man.
What is Logical Supposition
When a term refers to something as it exists logically.
‘Man’ has five notes.
We are using the term ‘man’ to refer to the concept of a man.
What is Real Supposition
When a term refers to something as it exists in the real world.
This car was built by Ford.
We are using the term ‘car’ to refer to the real car, rather than the concept of a car, or to the word ‘car’.
