SI3* Location
Just prox. to the metacarpophalangeal jt. on the ca.lat.side of the 5th metacarpal b. Use nail.
SI3* Indications
Shu-stream pt. (WOOD) Mother pt. for def. Confluent point of GV channel. Cervical stiffness, back pain, red eyes
SI4** Location
On the lat. side of the thoracic limb, dis. to the carpal jt,ca.lat. to the base of the 5th metacarpal b.
SI4** Indications
Yuan (Source pt.), thoracic limb weakness, cervical pain, IVDD, Jaundice, Fever, Carpal pain, and OA.
SI8** Location
On med. side of the elbow btwn the med. humeral epicondyle and the olecranon. (This point is at the ulnar n.) (FUNNY BONE) FIGURE 8 for SI8
SI8** Indications
Son pt. for EXCESS. He-sea pt. (EARTH) Epilepsy pain in elbow
SI9* Location
Ca. to the humerus in a lrg. depression along the ca. border of the deltoid m. at its juncture w/the triceps m. (Btwn. the long and lat. heads of the triceps m. at the level of the shoulder jt.) Follow tendon and come up to the pt. of the shoulder.
SI9* Indications
Ear prob., shoulder pain, thoracic limb lameness or paralysis
SI16** Location
In the brachiocephalicus m. at the level of the C2-3 intervertebral space, 3 cun ventrolat. to the dorsal midline (just dorsal to the C2-3 Jing-jia-ji acupt.); Use the width of the last rib for the fun measurement.
SI16** Indications
Cervical stiffness, ear prob, deafness, pharyngitis
SI19* Location
Rostral to the triages (ventral to TH21) at the ca. border of the mandible and slightly dorsal to the condyloid process
SI19* Indications
Otitis, deafness, headshaking, dental pain, epilepsy.
