What is impingement syndrome?
A
Painful arc between 60-120 degrees

Calcific tendinitis presentation?
A
Develops due to calcium deposits
ACUTE onset of pain which coincides the the resorption of calcium.

Investigation and management of impingement syndrome
A
X-ray.
Analgesia, physio, subacromail steroid injections.

Management of rotator cuff tear?
A
Physio and analgesi, some scope for surgery later.
Investigations USS and MRI.

How does rotator cuff tear present?
A
Can be from an injury or degenerative. Typically occurs in those>40 with no hx of trauma.
Painful arc
Reduced rROM.
Reduce power.
