1. Check that compressor/ suction unit is switched on
2. Check dental chair is switched on at wall and base of chair
3. Check electrical equipment is switched on i.e. low level sockets/ light cure unit
4. Make sure sink taps are run for period of 5 mins to help prevent legionella (recorded in legionella file once a week)
5. All surfaces/ chair etc. wiped down with a disinfectant wipe
   - order: light, tray table, drills, chair, arm, spitoon
6. Water bottle for chair filled with filtered water and add an ADEC tablet to bottle
7. Water run through water lines of chair i.e. in 3 in 1/ spitoon/ cupfill/ hand-piece leads for 2 min at beginning of session
8. Set up with relevant equipment and materials required for individual patient
