What types of cases are brought to the Supreme court?
A
- Hears appeals from decisions made by the National court.
- Review decisions made by the National court regarding matters which the law does not allow for appeals to be made.
- Give opinion or advice on proposed law.
- Develop rules of the underlying law.
Enforce human rights as provided under the constitution.

- Within six (6) months.

What cases can be heard by the District court?
A
District court can hear all Summary offences and some indictable ones as well.

What cases are heard by the National court?
A
Hears serious indictable offences. (Murder, robbery, rape, serious assaults, corruption in high places etc…). Also hears certain civil cases.
