How to set a portal as an Open Portal ?
2 steps
Site Admin : Settings > Products > JSM > Customer Access > Allow customers to create accounts
Project Admin : Project Settings ? Customer Perms > Channel Access > Control who can submit requests to this project by email, widget, or the portal = Open
As a Project admin, which customer permissions can you set for your projects ?
Channel Access (Open vs Invited customers only)
Customer Sharing (search from org only (airtight) , view org and manually enter email for project users (semi airtight), search for project and org customers (open) )
As Jira Admin, what Customer Access option can you set for JSM ?
Account Types : Internal vs External
- Internal
– approved domain(s)
- External
– allow portal-only accounts to be created for new customers
– only in specific domains
Portal Access
- Allow / don’t allow customers to create their own accounts
– Customers can access without logging in (if Allowed to create accounts)
