Sensors 7 Flashcards
What is the radar hazard area for exposed personnel and refuelin gvehicules?
100 feet even in Dummy Load
What are the RADAR inputs?
- IRU provides heading, G/S, pitch+roll for antenna stabilization
- Fix button and keyboard allow inputs or target coordinates+altitude.
- NTSC receives video input from the RADAR
What are the RADAR outputs?
- Control signals from the CDU to the RADAR via the RRIU
- Video display, radar range and mode, and fix information to the LCD via the NTSC
- Cursor position to the DID via the ATSC
What to do when having a Fault indicator
a. Look them up in the checklist
b. Record it and report it to maintenance
c. HOT = SPCU is overheating.
PRESSURE=
waveguide pressure is below 14.5 PSI, still ok but arcing can occur at high altitude
LVPS=
low voltage power supply in the R/T is defective
AFC=
loop which keep the R/T oscillator tuned is not functioning
VSWR=
antenna voltage standing wave radio is out of tolerance
MIXR=
R/T mixer diode current is out of tolerance
TXPR=
Tx output power is out of tolerance
ELEV=
Antenna elevation servo loop is faulty
AZIM=
Antenna azimuth servo loop is faulty. Antenna scan has stopped
+5V
+15V
-15V
the….V DC is out of tolerance
SPC=
SPCU isn’t functioning
PRF=
SPCU is not generating the Tx trigger
