Lim: biased sample- only ppl who can read and write

The interview starts out w some general aims and possible some questions
Lets the interviewee’s answers guide subsequent questions

Str: More detailed info bc tailored to responses

Lim: Require more skill than structured- requirement for a well trained interviewer makes unstructure more expensive

Any interview where the questions are decided in advance

Str: Can be easily repated bc questions are standardised= answers can be compared

Lim: Low reliability when comparing bc interviewers may have behaved diff
