- A reserach method that uses verbal questions asked directly to respondents using a face to face or telephone technqiue.

How should an interviewer conduct themselves in an interview?

- Avoid interrupting respondents
- Avoid repeating quetsions
- Use encouraging comments,
- Respondents must not be probed too much.
