My most valued achievement is being accepted into my dream selective school, Nossal high school, a school that selects students academically.
I value this achievement as the acceptance is a reward for the hard I worked for it and the consistent amount of effort I had put, by keeping mysel motivated.
This achievement has also led me to make life long friendships and connections during my time at the school.

Q

What are your strengths?
Not choose strengths that most people invited to interview will have
or strengths already covered in interview(listening or communication skills)
list three qualities
give examples (achievements or difficult circumstances that you have endured)
When deciding how to answer, think about why you are strong, have you always been that way, has it come naturally or have you had to work to perform in area

A

I have two strengths.
firstly I am a quick learner and am able to quickly understand and grasp things
pe: bind academy, when I initially joined as a tutor, I was completely new to the concept of tutoring and the NSW education system, I was able to quickly familiarize myself and able to deliver engaging lessons to students, my supervisor, head of the company lauded me for attribute for being a quick learner
upon reflection, the ability to be a quick learner will aid my medical studies, as it will allow me to efficiently learn the vast amount of information learned in medical school and later on as a doctor, where they constantly need to process scientific information and deliver best patient outcomes

Secondly, I can easily connect with people and have an interest in getting to know them recently in my neighborhood, I developed a friendship with a lady in her 60s with whom we regularly talk and exchange cultural similarities, we built a trusting relationship, where she was even comfortable enough to confide in a medical condition she holds.
upon reflection, the ability to connect with people is essential in the field of medicine, where doctors have to general willingness to get to know people and develop trusting relationships.

Q

do you think the medical course will help you improve yourself?

A

Yes, definitely, it will provide me a chance to expand my knowledge in areas of human health and illness,

further improve my communication skills, and obtain an insight into human nature, allowing me to learn to empathize more with others.

further, the bond medical course will also help me overcome my weakness of stress management in certain situations by exposing me to various clinical situations during medical school, that will let me build my emotional stability and coping skills.

Q

do you understand the difference between sympathy and empathy?

A

empathy means being able to put yourself in others’ shows and to imagine and understand how they are feeling at a given moment for example: by acknowledging the possible emotions that patients might be feeling
doctors should be able to empathize with patients to provide the best level of care possible to be compassionate towards a person in need.

Throughout my work as a current tutor, there have been many occasions where i had to empathize with students, like acknowledging emotions of frustration when they are struggling with a concept or question, and reassuring them they can do it if they calm think about think the different ways to solve it.

on the other hand, sympathy is an act of sharing those feelings with another for for exampe being a milar situation
