social determinants of health
1.inadequate formal education-not ware of the healthcare system works–can lead to poor healthcare outcomes worsening over time, and the cost of treatment
- low socioeconomic background, unable to pay for appropriate medical services.–public health system–longer delays–deteriorate —generational cycle of health outcomes
- lack of access to private and public transport services, makes it difficult for
individuals living in rural areas to travel out far to seek the necessary medical
treatment required. Although one could argue that a doctor can simply travel out to
that patient to treat them, if that doctor is the only medical professional available
then there will be other patients at the clinic that they are leaving behind.
