Q

How does selective breeding work?

A
  1. Select two wheat plants with a high yield
  2. Breed them together by using a brush to remove pollen from the anther of one plant and place it on the stigma of the other
  3. From the offspring produced select the two with the highest yield
  4. Breed the offspring
  5. Repeat this over several generations until all the offspring produced give a high yield
