What is the menstrual cycle

A
  1. Days 1 - 5 menstruation (can vary from lady to lady)
  2. 6 - 9 The uterine lining grows with many blood vessels formed in it. Preparation for the implantation of the embryo
  3. 10 - 15 Fertile period. The ovary will release an egg into the oviduct around day 14. Having sexual intercourse will likely result in pregnancy.
  4. 16 - 28 The uterine lining will continue to thicken. If no fertilisation occurs menstruation will occur after day 28.
