What happens on the lyric ‘You’re gonna give your love to me’?
In a closed position, reminiscent of ballroom dancing, the female dancer rolls her hips twice to lift her right leg through relevé position, driving her right left out with a flexed foot each time when taking two steps forward towards the audience. Her arms move down into a clasped hold by her pelvis. - young playful.
What happens on the lyric ‘You’re gonna give your love to me’?
Male dancer holds onto the bottom of his jacket lapels so that his arms are bent in a triangular shape of a chicken’s compact wings. He lifts his elbows as he jumps, shaking his head from side to side (like a rooster), his right leg drawn up and his foot by his knee, as he makes fluttering or ‘bicycling gestures’ with his feet - showing the comical, playful nature of early stages of courtship. There is a feeling of equality within their flirting.
